Safety

Safety is a primary objective at Blue Sky. This objective is fundamental to the company’s well being, as well as to the efficient and effective operation of our business. Every employee shares the responsibility of preventing accidents and injuries by observing established working rules, by following the directions of supervisors, and by practicing the safety rules of Blue Sky Construction, LLC.

“Our key people and management know that performing work safely is the number one priority,” states Sean Black. “They have learned to work productively but always keep coming back to their safety plan.”

Blue Sky management recognizes its responsibility to provide healthy and safe working conditions, safe working rules, and competent work direction. Blue Sky and its employees are required to comply with all federal, state, and local regulations related to safety and health programs.

Our key personnel have been trained similar to how our clients are trained, by completing Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for all non-routine tasks that require them to write down the steps of the task, identify the hazards of the task, and ensure that appropriate risk controls are in place to conduct the work in a safe manner. Additionally, Blue Sky has a company safety handbook that key personnel keep in their back pockets that covers the essentials of our work environment.

Our Commitment to Safety Includes:

  • Daily Jobsite Safety Evaluations
  • Maintaining Effective Operator Qualification Program
  • Weekly Internal Safety Audits
  • Formal Review of all Accidents and Near Misses to Establish Root Causes
  • All Employees Subject to Blue Sky Construction’s Substance Abuse Program
  • New Hire Orientation
  • New Hire Safety Training
  • Driver Road Test Evaluations
